Whether you're writing your first SQL query, investigating a slow application, or comparing cloud platforms, our aim is to give you a useful next step. Start with the short answer, then follow the explanation as far as you need.
What we cover
Relational and NoSQL databases, caching, search, analytical systems, data pipelines, and cloud services from AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. We connect individual tools with the engineering principles behind them.
How content gets published
Articles and technology profiles begin as drafts. An editor or administrator reviews the material before making it public. Technical articles include references to original documentation, and tested versions are listed only when the examples have been executed and checked.
AI assistance and accuracy
We use AI to help prepare initial drafts and organize material. AI-assisted articles carry a disclosure. Generation is not technical verification: editors are responsible for checking claims, examples, and sources before publication.
Comparisons with context
There is no universal best database. Our comparisons focus on access patterns, operating requirements, failure modes, and cost drivers. Benchmarks need a reproducible setup and a clearly defined workload.
A publication in progress
We are building the initial library. Content appears as it completes review. The newsletter signup currently collects interest for the launch; regular email delivery is not yet active.
